A gem of Chicago’s art scene, the Chicago International Film Festival is a renowned venue for filmmakers from all parts of the world, all walks of life, and all artistic visions to exhibit their work. Organized by the non-profit organization Cinema/Chicago, this branding must encompass a year-round cultural and educational organization as well as the festival.
As a beacon for creativity, the Chicago Int’l Film Festival requires a contemporary design system that pushes boundaries and respects its rich culture. The colors and typography are an ode to the modern art of filmmaking and broadcasting, while maintaining a cohesive and understandable branding style.
Created using vector graphics software (Affinity Designer), pixel-based software (Affinity Photo), and animated on Adobe After Effects. Custom lettering. This is a concept and not used by any institution.
